Pretty & Cute Haul

While I was in Portland I went to the Fubonn shopping center which is the largest asian shopping center in Oregon.  I went to check out the pretty and cute store and my dad had to get some of his special sweet soy sauce for his stir fry noodles and shrimp. They also have a bakery, a candy store, a bubble tea store, and a Shiseido store which I didn't get to go into since they were closed! (It was already after 11am!) Anyways this is what I ended up bringing home.....

FOTD Cranberry & Girls Luv Pink

One of my favorite eye looks is using a very light shimmery pink shade all over the lid all the way up to the browbone, then I go in with a cranberry shade in the crease and outer corner.
It makes me feel so glamorous and sultry when I wear this combo, that I thought I'd share it with you all.
I was testing out my Chromebook's camera here, but it looks like it doesn't capture the colors very well.
I'll have to mess with the lighting some more and try to get the hang of things.

100th Post! Sinful Colors- Cinderella

MAC Drugstore Dupes!!

Please bare with my crappy phone camera flash pictures. I've been wanting to do this post for a while now, because I have a few things in my little collection now that are dupes for some MAC products I own. First up is Wet n' wild Walking on Eggshells trio and you can tell it has been very well loved. I was almost out of this and saw that it was a dupe for MAC Naked Lunch, so I decided to try it out and see what all the fuss was about. I actually think that the WnW eye lid color is a lot more pigmented than Naked Lunch and I think I like it more so I don't think I will be repurchasing Naked Lunch when I run out. Wet n wild and Prestige are so pigmented and buttery, and naked lunch is just kind of stiff and has little color pay off.

Spring time meant coral lips for me, so I went searching for the perfect match. I swatched Coral Bliss in Mac and just still wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it. It looked like a nice color, but a little too bright for me.  I don't often wear bright colors. So I ordered a sample. I'm so glad I did because I actually like sweet papaya even more than i do the mac! Coral Bliss is a Cremesheen, which I don't like and has too much pink in it and sweet papaya leans more orange as you can see in the swatches. But it looks a lot better on me.

Nyx Pinched, Mac Peachykeen, and Wet n wild Pearlescent pink.

Now I usually love my Nyx blushes, but this one has chunky glitter in it that none of my others do. It's a little gritty in texture also. Pearlescent pink is more pigmented and soft, but is a little bit powdery. My Mac purchase here was well worth it. I love peachykeen and I have a long list of more Mac blushes I want to get my hands on, but in the meantime this beauty will be getting a lot of love.

Product Rave! Victoria's Secret Sheer Drama Hydrating Lipsticks

"Wish" Just thought I'd include this one to show you the old packaging.

This was my first VS lipstick purchase. This is the old packaging, but this shade is still available in the new packaging. Victoria's Secret has now re-formulated their lipsticks and now have added the sheer drama lipsticks to their line. All of Victoria's secret's makeup is very reasonably priced for the quality. It feels very luxurious, especially these new sheer drama's. I also have one of their bronzers and a few blushes that I love, which I'll have to do a seperate post on. These lipsticks are all very creamy and moisturizing on the lips. The regular line called Color Drama are very pigmented and last very long on the lips. The sheer drama's are very sheer of course like the name proclaims, and very moisturizing. I would guess that these are very  comparable to Dior Addict lipsticks, YSL sheer candy, or the Chanel rouge coco shines.
Of course I do not own any of these so I could not tell you that I am 100% positive. But I can tell you that I am positive that these are more moisturizing than Mac Lustre finishes and Revlon lip butters, which are my 2 favorite lipstick formulas. The only thing that I hate about purchasing these are that the swatches are not accurate on the VS site, and I can't find any swatches on blogs. Most people don't even know that Victoria's Secret makes makeup and that sucks because it's awesome and I love it!

Dreaming of Chanel

When I was in Oregon, my Mom and I went to the mall and of course had to look at the Chanel lipsticks when we walked by. ;)  I looked at the Rouge Coco Shine's first and a couple of them caught my eye.......
the first was #70 Sourire, a light pink. The second being #48 Evasion a beautiful light peach color, and the last one being #57 Aventure  a medium bright pink with gold shimmer. Unfortunately I wasn't there to buy lipsticks, so I asked if they had any samples. The sales lady was very sweet and went downstairs to fetch me some. This is very exciting for me, because I have never tried Chanel as they are not cheap.
 I can't wait to try them out! I will try and take pictures when I try them on, but I'm having problems right now uploading pictures from my digital camera, so for now I'll be taking pictures on my phone and uploading them to Facebook. That way I can just copy and paste.



It even comes with a little lip brush to apply the lipstick, how cute?!



The samples I'll be trying out will be Rouge coco in #54 Le Baiser, Rouge Coco shine #62 Monte-Carlo,
Rouge Coco shine #79 Saga, and Rouge coco shine in #81 Fiction. The colors I'm most excited to try I think are Saga and Monte-Carlo.
