Diaries of My Blush Obsession: Fall/Winter Edition

This is the second part of my obsessed series! I started out with my highlighter obsession, now it's time for some blush action. :)  Let's just say I am a little obsessed with blush . It all started with my first blush I ever bought from the drugstore. It was a Covergirl blush I think the shade was called Rose Silk? Anyways, I used it all up and wanted to try a different color so I went for a NYC Mosaic blush which is still one of my faves, the shade is called Pink Cheek Glow and if you haven't tried it yet you must (I've used up like 3 of these to the pan!).
But what I think really started my obsession with blushes were the Milani Baked blushes. These blushes had just came out and I just couldn't resist their gleaming luminescence! The first shade I picked up was Dolce Pink. Okay, enough with the beginning of my blush obsession!  Now on to some of my more recent findings of Fall and Winter shades that I Love! <3

These are all great Fall/Winter colors and are all very affordable.
You can order Sleek blushes off Sleek.com and I believe they are $5.99 a piece?
La Femme blushes are under $3.00 each and are available online at Makeupmania.com and
Camerareadycosmetics.com.

You can find ELF blushes at Target and Kmart for $3.00 each, that's where I found my favorite one Mellow Mauve, and the others I found at Eyeslipsface.com

Mellow Mauve is now a Holy Grail blush for me!

Mellow Mauve on top, Berry Merry on the Left, and Blushing Rose on the Right.

Mark Calm Yourself Hydrating Mask

Mark/Avon Calm Yourself Hydrating Mask with Lemon & Orange/ Green Tea

This looks really gross, but it's really soothing and has a cooling affect.

Say that 5 times fast! Long enough name for a freaking face mask, but it's really awesome and I always break it out about this time of year when I need some extra moisture. Really does the trick! Moisturizes well, tightens pores up, calms redness, and soothes the skin overall.

                                                      Here's what it says:

This soothing gel-based mask adds moisture where you need it. Blended with calming green tea and aloe, moisturizing sea moss, plus, lemon and orange for radiance and clarity. A super hydrating complex keeps skin happy and healthy looking so you can remain calm.

Usage: Apply all over cleansed skin, avoiding eye area, leave on for up to 5 minutes and rinse.                               Use 2-3 times a week for best results.

Gwen Stefani Classy with an edge.

Kate Middleton of course, who doesn't love her?

Limited Edition Wet N Wild Sparkle 'Til Morning Palette

Wet n wild Sparkle 'Til Morning

When I saw pictures of these new Limited Edition palettes on blogs I  knew I only wanted this one out of the three.

These colors are right up my alley. Pretty much everyday I use shimmery neutral colors like these. The only two shades I haven't used yet are the bottom two.

My favorites out of the palette are the soft browns and the lightest colors of course, the creamy shade and the light pink for the brow bone and inner corner and sometimes all over the lid.

The quality of shadows are great as with all of the Wet n wild eye shadows, creamy, smooth,  and very pigmented. I'm so glad I actually found it, it was the last one left! And you can't beat the price with these palettes, I got mine for $4.99!  If you haven't tried these shadows, you should! My favorites are the Comfort zone palette, the Walking on eggshells trio, and the single in Nutty.

November Favorites!!

Favorites of the Month!

Monthly favorites are my favorite videos to watch on youtube and my  favorite posts to read  on blogs.
I don't know why it took me so long to finally do one of my own.

First I'll start off with lippies!

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and got an eos lip balm, I've always wanted to try them.
They came out with pomegranate raspberry so I just had to get it!

Mac Sweetie is the perfect shade of pink for me! Not too pale, and not too bright!

Maybelline Warm Me Up is a great nude color. I hate concealer type nudes that make me look dead.
This one has a warm pinky shade that makes it very nice.

Jordana Mauvy is my most used lip liner right now. I love it because it goes with everything.

Now on to face products!

I love my Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural, I am in the shade Medium.
I wear it everyday usually just on it's own, or on the weekends over foundation.
I really love it because it doesn't look powdery or cakey at all like my other powders.

My NYX blush in the shade Angel looks so natural and beautiful on me. Definitely a Holy Grail color!

La Femme blush in Lilac Lace is a perfect color for Fall. I'm really starting to love purple colors!
Who knew?

I adore my Tarte amazonian clay blush in Exposed! When I swatched it in the store it looked like mud, but when I put it on my face I was like what took me so long to find this blush? This is also a great contouring color for me, sometimes I like to add another color on top for a nice finish.

Noir Tease body mist from Victoria's Secret has been a favorite of mine lately, I really like it because it's great to throw in my bag on the go.

Lancome Hypnose Star mascara looks so natural, yet glamorous at the same time. It really separates and lengthens your lashes. This came as a free sample when I ordered Exposed from Sephora.

Wet n Wild Nutty eye shadow is a shade I like to use when I want to go a little darker.

I've been using Mac Gleam eye shadow practically everyday since I got it. I can use it all over the lid, or just on the brow bone and inner corner if I want. I also like to put it on top of other shades for an extra sparkle.

The Essence coverstick concealer has been a life saver for me. Lately I've had more acne than I did when I was a teen and I can't figure it out.

Depotting NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils

NYX Jumbo in Yogurt

This will just be a quick post on how I depotted my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil.

First, You need to find a small jar like the one pictured above. Mine was a little big so it's harder to get to the product.
You might want to find a smaller jar like a sample jar from MAC.

Now all you have to do is take off the cap and the bottom portion pictured above.

Next, stick your Jumbo Eye Pencil in the jar and microwave it for about 2-4 minutes. I heard that different shades take longer than others to melt. Mine took only about 2 minutes.

Now when you take your Jumbo out of the microwave, you want to make sure it's completely melted.
Look through the hole on the bottom of your Jumbo, make sure it is completely hallow and that you can see all the way through it. If you can't, then you need to microwave it a little longer.

Be careful when you take it out because it will be hot, you don't want to burn yourself.
You should also put paper towels underneath wherever you are working, because the product will drip.

There are tons of videos on how to do this on Youtube. You can also do this using no heat, but it looked messy.

MAC Peachykeen & Gleam

                                           Gleam & Peachykeen
These were the colors than popped out at me in the store and colors that I am naturally drawn to!
I was originally planning on getting satin taupe which didn't look like all that much to me in the store as people make it out to be. I don't know, maybe it's just me?

Gleam Eye shadow (Lustre): A barely pinked gold as described by MAC.
This is my favorite type of shade to use!

I was just looking for an everyday barely there color for all over the lid. These colors just looked so different in the store, maybe it was just the florescent lights I don't know. But it's actually more gold than pink and has a lot more sparkle to it than I expected. It is perfect for the holiday season with all the gold and sparkle to it though.  I think I'll go for something like Naked Lunch next time? Expensive Pink, and Sable are also on my list.

Gleam

Peachykeen Blush (Sheertone Shimmer): A very baby peach as described by MAC.

Not what I was expecting by looking at it in the pan . It's a lot more different comparing it to swatches on blogs. It is very beautiful and right up my alley, it's just I feel like I have a million blushes that are the exact same color. And if I'm going to buy one for $20 it should have been a color like no other in my collection. Next  time I'm going for more of a winter color. Ambering Rose, Plum Foolery, and Breezy are also on my list.

Peachykeen

Really crappy swatches I know, but Peachykeen is on the left and Gleam on the right.

I don't know why but I save the MAC boxes and bags everytime. Does anybody else do this?

Please tell me if you have any recommendations for me! <3

Tarte Exposed Blush + Free Sephora Sample Bag!

Tarte Exposed Blush

My Sephora order came in! Don't worry I ordered this BEFORE my spending ban! ;) So I have been wanting to try out more natural looking blushes, because all of my blushes are like BAM! when I put them on my face and when I have on a dark lip  it can tend to look a little harsh. I don't want to look like a clown! So I finally caved and ordered Tarte Exposed off Sephora. I think my last straw was seeing it in ChelseaWears October Favorites video. I have also been loving NYX Angel because it's a natural pink, but I wanted to try out a nude blush. I also want to try out MAC Strada, because it is TheStyleChronicles all time favorite blush. But that one is discontinued, so yeah if you have a good dupe please tell me! La Femme Adobe looks very similar, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. :(

I had a code for a free bag of goodies, so I picked out this one, because it had the Nars lip pencil and the MakeupForever HD powder which I've been curious about. I've had it on all day today and I really love it so far! Here's everything I got:
Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Exposed
Nars Velvet gloss lip pencil in New Lover sample
Makeup Forever HD Powder sample
Sephora Foundation primer sample
Murad Clarifying Cleanser sample
Lancome Eye makeup remover sample
Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara sample
Stila In the light eye shadow palette sample (LOVE LOVE!)
Clean Fresh Laundry fragrance sample
Cartier Baiser Vole fragrance sample
Lily Stella Mccartney fragrance sample (smells like my mom)
For the Hubby:
SpiceBomb Viktor&Rolf cologne sample (Smells amazing, now I know what to get him for Christmas!)
YSL L'Hommme cologne sample (Also smells Really good!!)
All in a cute little black bag!

My Make-shift Z-palette dupe

So I bought some La Femme blushes and then I was like, what the heck am I going to put these in now?? I just had them sitting on my counter-top and I didn't want to ruin them, they are so gorgeous! I was looking at Z-palettes online and they are $20.00, and that's without shipping! I was thinking, I just saw a video on how to make your own Z-palette. So I sent out to Michaels  (a craft store) on my quest to find the perfect little case to make my palette. I spent less than $5.00!! And it was so easy!

All you need to buy is this little plastic "bead organizing" case and a magnetic adhesive sheet.
It's just a magnet sheet that is sticky on the back. All you do is measure your little case and cut out your magnet sheet to fit into it, peel off the back, and stick it inside (that's what she said). Easy peasy!!

And there you have it! You can decorate the outside to make it look all fancy n' such if you really want, but I'm not quite the crafty type so I just kept it plain and simple.

Then I just stuck in my La Femme blushes, and decided to depot a couple of different Wet n Wild shadows that I had to stick in there to make it more convenient so I would use them more.

You could use any case that you find, this actually looks just like a pencil/crayon box that you can buy at almost any store like Walmart/Target etc..

Do you have a Z-palette?
What do you like to keep inside it?
